R is a very powerful open-source statistical software that I have been wanting to learn for a while. Fortunately I recently had the opportunity to learn the basics (and some not so basic analyses) and I hope to, possibly as I continue to learn R myself, share some of what I learn with you.
Why use R?
- It’s free!
- Capable of being run on numerous platforms
- Capable of advanced statistical techniques not available on many programs
- You can make some pretty hella cool graphs
